The Advantage Kids Mt. Washington Region is ready to open the 2021 season. Our May/June after school sessions will be conducted Monday through Friday in five different locations (Fryeburg, Tamworth, Jackson, N. Conway and Freedom). We have over 80 kids signed up with most days already filled to capacity. It's a great mix of new and returning players eager for Tennis Plus! fun.

We are developing new school partnerships.  As approved after school programs, we have received substantial donations from the Freedom School and the Tamworth Outing Club to provide each player with a new racquet and t-shirt in addition to free tennis and yoga programming.

The Jackson Tennis Club continues to be our most significant partner in the Valley. The club’s membership is growing each year and they feature Advantage Kids information in every newsletter. A new partnership with the Wentworth Inn in Jackson Village will increase our capacity with an additional red clay court for our use.

Our top notch staff of tennis pros and yogis are all returning, eager and ready to go. We welcome Freedom Elementary School Counselor Betty Lee to the staff. Betty has a long history of tennis leadership in the valley as well as her exceptional skills as a counselor and advocate for our kids. She was an inspiration for me to develop programs in our area when I first saw her leading early morning tennis lessons in the Freedom School gym a few years ago.

We look forward to developing a new structure to Advantage Kids this summer, competitive team play! We will have a central location for kids from all five towns to come together and grow in the game. Registering as a USTA Junior Team Tennis (JTT) organization will bring us up to the next level of player development.
